Florida wins…again. Congratulations!!!

I suspect few people were surprised last night when Florida handily defeated Ohio State 84 to 75 to win their second consecutive NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship.

In fact, even I did not think Ohio stood much of a chance; especially with a star player, #20 Greg Oden (right), who looks (and, at times, played) like Lebron James’ Daddy.

But my heart goes out to the meek people of Ohio (most notably my long-suffering college roommate) who must feel cursed by the Gods. Because this defeat is compounded by the fact that they were still licking their wounds from the ass-whopping Florida’s football team put on their boys to win the national championship in January.

I remain hopeful, however, that Ohio will inherit a national championship some day…Indeed, I hear they have a killer curling team!

But enough of Florida already!

NOTE: : Continuing my notorious losing streak of bets on sports teams, I picked Georgetown, here. But I have no doubt they’ll be crowned champions before Ohio State.
