Gone Fishing

Posted by Anthony L. Hall

Actually, I’m just taking the next few days to meditate; specifically, to clear my mind of all the current-events clutter that provides so much fodder for my daily posts.

This is my way of preparing for the Olympics with which I shall be completely consumed. In other words, from Opening Ceremony on Friday, July 27 to Closing Ceremony on Sunday, August 12, the only current events I’ll be commenting on are those related to the London Olympics.

(I gather they’re planning to have Paul McCartney close the Opening Ceremony. But I think his Beatles nostalgia act is way overrated and way overexposed – as his performance at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee just last month clearly demonstrated … on both counts. Instead, Her Majesty should commission Roger Waters and David Gilmore to reunite as the real Pink Floyd for this occasion  – to make Britons truly proud and give the rest of us the experience of a lifetime.)

So I’ll see you for my first commentary on Saturday, July 28.

Sorry, comments for this entry are closed at this time.
