Tell that to the Ukrainians suffering the ravages of war in Ukraine, Uyghurs living in internment camps in China, Rohingyas being ethnically cleansed in Myanmar, and Africans enduring everything from civil strife to chronic drought across the continent. Which is why the migrants waiting at the border to get into the United States might count themselves lucky this Christmas Day…

Of course, the damning irony is that the people most responsible for denying them entry are the purported Christians who form the base of the Republican Party. After all, they have fallen so far from his grace, they are not only failing to do what Jesus would do, but denying entry even to pregnant mothers … like his mother Mary.
