Justice Clarence Thomas Accepted Luxury Trips from GOP Donor Who Collects Nazi Memorabilia

Justice Clarence Thomas: Accusations of sexual harassment introduced him Being dumb and mute defines him Allegations of misconduct will brand him

For over 20 years, Justice Clarence Thomas accepted luxury trips from a GOP mega-donor. Even worse, this mega-donor is an avid collector of Nazi memorabilia.

The Republican billionaire who lavished luxury gifts on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas collects historical artifacts he says shed a light on the twentieth century’s worst atrocities.

Harlan Crow, the heir to a real estate fortune, has Nazi memorabilia as well as a garden featuring the statues of some of the twentieth century’s worst dictators. … Thomas admitted this week that he and his wife, conservative activist Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, took trips on Crow’s superyacht and private plane for more than 20 years.

Supreme Court justices are like popes. They are the only members of the judicial branch who do not have to follow ethics rules.

But Clarence Thomas’s conduct has brought the Court into disrepute. And he’s the first justice in US history to do so.

Thomas has broken every judicial code of conduct on the friggin’ books. That’s why blaming his coup-plotting MAGA wife for his judicial infidelity is like blaming Trump’s I-really-don’t-care-do-you wife for his marital infidelity.

But here’s the sad irony. Thomas began his career on the Court as a national embarrassment. Because Anita Hill almost torpedoed his nomination with credible claims of sexual harassment. Now he’s ending it as an even greater national embarrassment. Because these revelations about his gifts are so damning.

After all, Thomas has humble bragged for decades about his modest lifestyle. He insists, for example, that he prefers RV parks and Walmarts to beaches and resorts.

We now know he was living the lifestyle of a rich, kept man. That had Thomas accepting luxury trips – some valued at over $500,000.00.

His lies and hypocrisy are shocking, of course. But Republicans have turned them into virtues, replacing old-fashioned truth and honor.

In any event, Democrats want him impeached.

Why is Justice Thomas hanging out with a collector of Nazi memorabilia?

So it’s no surprise that Harlan admires Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. After all, Trump himself praises Hitler with nary a hint of compunction or shame.

But it’s shocking enough that a Black man like Thomas is associating with a Nazi admirer. Yet Thomas is even subjecting himself to the patronizing largesse of Nazi-hailing Harlan.

Frankly, racial self-hatred consumes Thomas.
