I took a lot of flak for my commentary during the Sydney café siege, where iPINIONS questioned the police response and suggested it would not surprise me if police did most of the killing and injuring. After all, they fired a thousand rounds to kill one lone wolf, when a sniper could have ended it with one bullet.
A hostage who died during a siege in a downtown Sydney cafe was killed when she was struck by fragments of a bullet fired from a police officer’s gun as authorities stormed in to end the 16-hour standoff, a lawyer told an inquest on Thursday.
