Republican Scott Jennings triggers viral outrage almost daily with his racist or misogynistic comments on CNN. But don’t blame him; blame CNN.
Fox News has become a ratings hegemon by pandering to Americans who just want to be enraged or entertained – you know, like Romans before the fall. More to the point, Donald Trump has been their golden goose because he enrages and entertains like nobody has ever seen.
So CNN is featuring Jennings, hoping he can ape Trump and produce his effect. For example, here is how Jennings seized on the wildfires incinerating blue-state California – just to “own the libs”:
Scott Jennings felt the ire of Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), who took a blowtorch to him after he appeared to suggest on CNN NewsNight that the southern California wildfires are worse because there are not enough white men working as fire fighters.
And, yes, like Pavlovian dogs, Democrats and the media bite every time. It’s really that simple, crude, and mercenary, folks. CNN and the libs playing along in the Fox-like schtick should be ashamed.
