ICE agents acting like Gestapo arresting US residents

America has a long history of weaponizing immigration enforcement — from the Palmer Raids to Japanese internment. But never like this. With Project 2025 as his blueprint, Trump is turning ICE into a paramilitary tool for political repression. This isn’t about border security anymore. iPINIONS asserts that it’s about silencing dissent, criminalizing protest, and making… Read more.

Trump takes jingoistic pride in forcing US companies to bring manufacturing jobs back to America. If they refuse, he threatens tariffs that would make exporting foreign-made products back to the US prohibitively expensive. And he couldn’t care less if this wrecks the global economy – so long as he can claim he’s making manufacturing in… Read more.

A ‘Very Fine’ White Supremacist Massacred Muslim Immigrants in New Zealand…

Friday, March 15, 2019 at 8:47 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall

I explained why in commentaries like “New Normal Comes to New York City…,” October 21, 2017, and “Norway’s Timothy McVeigh Perpetrates National Massacre,” July 23, 2011. The latter includes this excerpt: ____________________ What… Read more.

Separating Migrant Children from Parents. This Is America … Too!

Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 7:51 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall

On too many occasions in the course of human events, man’s inhumanity to man provokes commentaries that inflame passions more than shed light. This is one of those occasions. But I hope what follows sheds light more than inflames passions. Since early May, 2,342 children have been separated from their parents after crossing the Southern… Read more.

The DACA program was formed through executive order by former President Barack Obama in 2012 and allows certain people, called Dreamers, who come to the US illegally as minors to be protected from immediate deportation. Recipients are able to request ‘consideration of deferred action’ for a period of two years which is subject to renewal.… Read more.

Hip-Hop Mogul Pens Fawning Letter Chastising/Cheering Racist Trump…?

Friday, December 11, 2015 at 6:07 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall

Exactly! His letter makes no sense. I am on record hailing Russell Simmons for his political activism in such commentaries as “Black Political Leadership in America Is Dead! Thank God for Hip-Hop Mogul Russell Simmons,” April 26, 2005. Notably, his activism includes chairing The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, whose “sole mission is to fight bigotry… Read more.
