Earth Day Irony: Climate Activists Behaving Like Arsonists and Firefighters

Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 6:23 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall

First Earth Day Former Senator Gaylord Nelson (D-WI) conceived Earth Day as a day of awareness in the late 1960s. He responded to the alarming pollution spreading carelessly across America, marking a pivotal moment in our environmental history. The country celebrated its first Earth Day on April 22, 1970. The environmental practices it inaugurated have since become… Read more.

Pope Francis is Dead. Did JD Vance Kill Him?

Monday, April 21, 2025 at 9:47 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall
image of pope meeting with JD Vance on his last day

The media will publish his obituary widely and commentators will discuss it exhaustively. So only vanity could compel me to add more. Therefore, I shall limit my tribute to one final meeting Francis had on his last day. It speaks volumes about his papacy. US VP JD Vance was reportedly the last outsider to visit… Read more.

Happy Easter Monday

beach scenes in Bahamas.

Legacy of colonialism Colonialism was untenable. However, the British introduced a few customs that are still heartily observed throughout their former colonies in the Caribbean.  Civil service, public education, and public holidays figure most prominently in this respect. Their beneficial impact is something I can vouch for personally. But today, I’m paying homage to one of the holidays the British introduced. … Read more.

20 for 20: The iPINIONS Archive of Vanguard Commentary

Sunday, April 20, 2025 at 9:52 PM
Written by Anthony L. Hall
An illustrated collage of major global events and public figures emerging from an open book, symbolizing 20 years of prophetic commentary from The iPINIONS Journal.

For over 20 years, I’ve been writing vanguard commentary — tackling global issues long before they reached the mainstream. From social media and politics to sports and entertainment, my posts didn’t follow the headlines. They forecasted them. You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who has published more informed commentary on a more eclectic array of… Read more.

Christians Too Often Make Christ’s Crucifixion and Resurrection Seem in Vain

Sunday, April 20, 2025 at 8:53 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall
Evangelical leaders surround Trump in the Oval Office, praying over him with outstretched hands in a scene reminiscent of idol worship.

It looks like these evangelical leaders are praying for God to bless and protect Trump. In fact, they’re praying for Trump to recognize and enrich them. Not since the lost Israelites worshiped that Golden Calf have religious people so brazenly forsaken God. These evangelicals sold their souls to a Mammon — all for tax cuts… Read more.

Excuse Me, Gary Kasparov, I Coined “Putinization.” Show Some Attribution!

Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 10:18 AM

Illustration of Vladimir Putin winking in front of a Russian flag, surrounded by missiles. The word “PUTINIZATION” appears in bold below. Inset photos show Susan Glasser’s New Yorker essay titled “Trump’s Putinization of America” (top left) and Garry Kasparov playing chess (top right).

On April 17, The Atlantic published a provocative essay by former world chess champion Garry Kasparov titled “The Putinization of America.” Arguably, The Atlantic lifted the idea for that title from an essay by New Yorker staff writer Susan Glasser, published just weeks earlier (on February 20) under the headline “Trump’s Putinization of America.” Kasparov… Read more.

My Good Friday Sermon

Good Friday: My childhood rituals I grew up the son of an evangelical preacher man. But the Holy Spirit was no match for my Adamic nature. Which is why so much of my childhood felt dispiriting — a theme I’ve explored often in The iPINIONS Journal, where this sermon has become an annual tradition. Most… Read more.

Sen. Van Hollen ‘Cory Bookers’ to El Salvador to Rescue Garcia…

Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 6:48 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall
Chris Van Hollen speaks from El Salvador as part of a failed mission to free Kilmar Garcia, contrasted with AOC and Bernie rallying Democrats in the U.S.

Democrats are facing mounting pressure to “do something!” Even red states are echoing that rallying cry. That’s why AOC and Bernie drew a MAGA-size crowd of 12,000 in Idaho on their anti-oligarchy, pro-democracy tour. This pressure explains why Sen. Van Hollen flew to El Salvador yesterday to talk to officials about Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Of… Read more.

Harvard Refuses to Obey Trump’s MAGA Demands

Trump tries to dictate admissions, hiring, curriculum, and conduct Harvard refused to obey the Trump administration’s demands to implement MAGA policies masquerading as antisemitism reforms. In retribution, Trump froze $2 billion in federal funding. This wasn’t a recommendation. iPINIONS contends it was an ultimatum. Never mind that Trump is notorious for hosting Holocaust deniers and… Read more.

Blue Origin’s All-Female ‘Space Flight’ Was More Hype than Heroic

Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 6:57 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall
Group of six women in Blue Origin flight suits pose in front of a Blue Origin rocket, contrasted with inset images of pioneering female astronauts like Mae Jemison, Sally Ride, and Valentina Tereshkova.

Respectfully, this wasn’t a space mission. It was a marketing stunt. Frankly, calling these space tourists “astronauts” is like calling someone a Green Beret for spending an afternoon playing paintball. Real astronauts train for years, risk their lives, and expand human knowledge. These joyrides just inflate egos and Instagram feeds. I’m just a little bothered… Read more.
