Monday, April 20, 2026 at 8:48 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall
Sudan war and Pope Leo Africa tour

Three years into Sudan’s war, the death toll, famine, and mass displacement are staggering. Yet unlike Ukraine, Gaza, or Iran, Sudan still struggles to command sustained media attention or geopolitical urgency. iPINIONS argues that neglect has less to do with racism or religion than with the brutal fact that Sudan offers the West little strategic… Read more.

Happy Christmas from Gaza and Ukraine

As the world gathers to celebrate Christmas, war continues to devastate Ukraine, Sudan, Gaza, and countless other places we choose not to name. This year-end iPINIONS post confronts the moral dissonance of comfort amid catastrophe, and asks what it means to look away while others endure. major players in Sudan civil war

Sudan is burning, millions are starving, and the world is shrugging. For years, iPINIONS has been sounding the alarm about this war; its man-made famine, its atrocities, and its cynical use of hunger as a weapon. Now The Atlantic’s Anne Applebaum has finally turned her lens on this most nihilistic conflict on Earth, echoing warnings… Read more.

An illustrated collage of major global events and public figures emerging from an open book, symbolizing 20 years of prophetic commentary from The iPINIONS Journal.

For over 20 years, I’ve been writing vanguard commentary — tackling global issues long before they reached the mainstream. From social media and politics to sports and entertainment, my posts didn’t follow the headlines. They forecasted them. You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who has published more informed commentary on a more eclectic array of… Read more.

Sudanese military leaders presiding over civil war

Sudan’s lost promise: from potential powerhouse to civil war hellscape In 2011, Sudan seemed on the brink of becoming a regional powerhouse, poised to rival Egypt as a stable and relatively prosperous autocracy. Decades of civil war between the Arab-dominated north and the predominantly Black African south led to the creation of South Sudan. That… Read more.

Sudanese Military generals turn on each other and conflict is causing mass migration

What Sudan Ceasefire? The Sudanese army and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) reportedly extended their ceasefire. The RSF announced a “humanitarian truce” for 72 hours beginning at midnight tonight. Except that the army marked that announcement by launching an offensive against the RSF. It reportedly wants to drive the RSF out of the capital, Khartoum.… Read more.

Sudan’s Delayed Arab Spring: Now Withering Away Too

Images from Obama, Mubarak and protesters in Egypt's Arab Spring protests with image of Trump in Oval Office inset.

Sudan’s pro-democracy protesters celebrated the ouster of strongman Omar al-Bashir eight weeks ago. However, in doing so, they demonstrated the same naiveté as Egypt’s pro-democracy protesters when they celebrated the ouster of strongman Hosni Mubarak eight years ago. I published a commentary titled “Aping Egypt’s Ouster of Mubarak, Sudan Ousts Bashir” on April 17, 2019. In it, I admonished Sudan’s… Read more.

Sudanese protesters have been forced to block an apparent attempt to break up their sit-in outside the defence ministry in Khartoum, where demonstrators have been pushing for a quick transition to civilian rule after Omar al-Bashir was ousted as president. On Thursday, Sudan’s army announced it had removed and detained Bashir after three decades in… Read more.

Netanyahu Deporting Blacks To Preserve White Character of Jewish State

Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 8:39 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall

I took a lot of flak for characterizing Netanyahu’s Israel as follows in “Israel Votes to Become More Like (old) Apartheid South Africa,” March 18, 2015. ____________________ Election Day in Israel yesterday was full of surprises; none more so than the desperate declarations and exhortations Bibi Netanyahu made to get his supporters to the polls.… Read more.
