Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 8:25 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall
Condoleezza Rice between Bush-era Iraq imagery and Trump’s Iran war, with a mushroom cloud and battlefield destruction.

Condoleezza Rice helped sell Bush’s Iraq War by warning that the smoking gun could become a mushroom cloud. iPINIONS contends that she is recycling that same preventive-war logic for Trump in Iran, where a supposedly quick campaign has metastasized into mounting deaths, destruction, and conflict over the Strait of Hormuz. Read my full take on… Read more.

Colin Powell, Soldier, Secretary, Statesman, Is Dead

Monday, October 18, 2021 at 9:19 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall

What cruel game of fate is this, dear Lord, that Covid should kill a man like Colin Powell but spare one like Donald Trump…? Colin L. Powell, who in four decades of public life served as the nation’s top soldier, diplomat and national security adviser, and whose speech at the United Nations in 2003 helped… Read more.

Netanyahu’s Bombshell Presentation on Iran Bombs

Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 6:42 PM
Written by Anthony L. Hall

Frankly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a shameless, irrepressible charlatan. Only this explains his Chicken-Little warnings about Iran being within months of possessing nuclear weapons to wipe Israel off the map, which he’s been proselytizing for decades. Mind you, he warned about Iraq in similar fashion. Indeed, it’s arguable that no individual did more… Read more.

Written by Anthony L. Hall

The invasion of Iraq is now generally recognized as such an unmitigated failure that it is more fitting to commemorate than celebrate its 10th anniversary today. Of course, listening to former VP Dick Cheney this week, one could be forgiven the impression that he is still looking for Iraqis to greet Americans as liberators. Except… Read more.

Wonder Why Former British PM Tony Blair Had to Flee to America to Sell His Memoirs…?

Friday, September 17, 2010 at 5:39 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall
Tony Blair grifter

Well, he incited still-simmering outrage by allegedly “sexing up” data about WMDs to justify sending British troops on Bush’s march of folly into Iraq. Then he amassed a king’s ransom by trading on his tenure as prime minister in a manner that made Bill Clinton seem urbane and discreet by comparison. But passing off fake… Read more.

Target Syria? Condi Begins Saber Rattling

Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at 10:19 PM
Written by Anthony L. Hall

Today, U.S. Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice recalled U.S. Envoy to Syria Margaret Scobey to protest the assassination of the former Lebanese prime minister, Rafiq Hariri. This, even though she conceded that there’s no evidence Syria had anything to do with his death. Except that this diplomatic slap was only intended to warn President… Read more.
