Friday, February 3, 2017 at 7:37 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall

It’s a matter of public record that doping among Jamaican Track and Field athletes is nearly as pervasive as it is among their Russian counterparts. For example, 30 Jamaicans have tested positive for banned substances in recent years, including every notable Olympic champion … except Usain Bolt: this, according to a report on the Jamaican… Read more.

Friday, July 19, 2013 at 5:13 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall

Written by Anthony L. Hall

The Chinese have become notorious for exporting all kinds of contaminated products, including melamine-laced pet food, all over the world.  Therefore, I found it more than a little ironic when they announced yesterday that they’re taking dog meat off the menu at 112 official Olympic restaurants.  The Chinese reportedly made this gesture “to respect the habits… Read more.

Marion Jones Used Steroids to Steal Gold from Our Bahamian ‘Golden Girl’

Friday, October 12, 2007 at 9:02 AM
Written by Anthony L. Hall
Marion Jones confessing to using steroids with Jones racing and holding up her gold medal inset.

Jones admits to using steroids Last week, Marion Jones admitted to being a serial abuser of steroids. I was crestfallen. After all, Jones always denied using steroids – complete with moral indignation.  I’m a cynical man, but I bought her denials hook, line, and sinker. She was always so graceful on and off the track. How could she have… Read more.
