Unfortunately, the sudden rise in TV viewership, which sponsors prayed for like the second coming of …, did not last. Because Tiger lost in the second round to a third-rate player at the Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona.
Of course, only time will tell if this was due to rust, which he will work out in upcoming events; or due to diminished skills, which he may never recover after one too many knee surgeries and almost a year away from competition….
