Wow, Whitney Houston is a bigger crackhead than Bobby Brown? Ain’t that a bitch!
When Whitney married Bobby 13 years ago, we all feared he would lead her astray. Yet all indications are that she has rivaled him in bringing public disgrace and humiliation upon their family.
Crack is whack
Bobby already had a notorious record of bad behavior. And nobody expected him to change. Yet Whitney’s diva tantrums and whacked-out appearance have dominated public perception of their marriage.
Now reports suggest she’s hellbent on matching Bobby’s frequent arrests with her frequent stints in drug rehab.
Whitney’s voice and face crack
She descended among us like an angel in the 1980s – complete with a heavenly voice and beautiful face. But cracks in her voice and on her face were evident last year.
Chances are that you’ve seen clips of her attempting to belt out Negro spirituals during her wacky “retreat” to her “homeland” (Israel). Not that her Jewish hosts minded her singing them, mind you. The problem is that she looked and sounded more like a drug-addled street person than a celebrated R&B diva.
Still, I believe in redemption and the power of prayer. So I pray for Whitney’s recovery. And that would mean getting her voice back.
But I wish Bobby were in rehab too. After all, coming out of rehab to live with him seems like a recipe for relapse.
