A secretary of state in name only I said from the start that Marco Rubio’s nomination as Secretary of State was about tokenism, not diplomacy. Trump proved me right by stacking his administration with White, DEI (“didn’t earn it”) special envoys, making Rubio irrelevant. Case in point: Richard Grenell, Trump’s envoy of special envoys, was… Read more.
Corporations have lost their soul In corporate America, virtue signaling has morphed into a cult-like ritual. But in their zeal to prove loyalty, corporations now take more pride in hiring far-right MAGA celebrities than they ever did in hiring minorities under DEI policies. Only that explains Andreessen Horowitz hiring Daniel Penny. It is one of… Read more.
On Tuesday night, Pharrell Williams stitched his name into history with a remarkable leap from music impresario to fashion designer. He opened Paris Fashion Week with a show that underscored why Louis Vuitton (LVMH) was inspired to tap him as creative director in 2023. Reviews now crown LVMH as “the new luxury leader in streetwear.”… Read more.
DEI is poisoning American schools and businesses Donald Trump is a certifiable racist and antisemite. Nobody should be surprised that he has nominated a nearly all-White cabinet. Meanwhile, legacy admissions continue to thrive as it has since time immemorial — as “affirmative… Read more.

But conning is what Republicans do. That’s clear enough from the lies they tell just to “own the libs.” Indeed, all they contribute… Read more.
Yousaf’s historic election results in abrupt resignation Humza Yousaf became the first Muslim to lead a Western European country a year ago. I hailed his historic election. But he banked his leadership on an uncompromising pro-independence agenda. I warned it was “bound to go bankrupt.” Sure enough: Scotland’s first minister, Humza Yousaf, resigned on Monday in the latest setback for… Read more.
Musk’s racism mirrors Trump’s Elon Musk is a racist. At this point, that shouldn’t surprise anyone. I, for one, have written many commentaries denouncing his public tweets. Those tweets often show his true colors. Simply put, Musk is becoming to business what Donald Trump is to politics: a temperamental, incompetent, petty, spiteful, cowardly, racist, narcissistic, homophobic, antisemitic, bullying buffoon. In other words, they’re two… Read more.
