Jill Biden embodied the Eagles’ quiet strength and effortless grace In a rematch of Super Bowl LVII, the Philadelphia Eagles soared over the Kansas City Chiefs, defeating them in vengeful fashion 40-22. Frankly, this game made me wish the NFL had a mercy rule. Because the Eagles made all the hype about a Chiefs historic… Read more.

Trump at National Prayer Breakfast

President Trump delivering the sermon at a national prayer breakfast is like the Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan delivering the keynote address at the NAACP convention. Yet, DC politicians dutifully assembled on Thursday to hear his MAGA sermon. But MAGA evangelicals listening to Trump’s blasphemous, self-worshipping drivel had to feel trapped in a… Read more.

Trump Decrees No More Trans Athletes in Women’s Sports

Trump signs executive order banning trans women in sports

This might be the only Trump policy I agree with: transgender women shouldn’t be competing in women’s sports. But even this photo-op screams Jim Crow 2.0. Frankly, it looks like Trump didn’t invite Black girls, assuming they’re just ‘DEI athletes‘ who don’t deserve protection from transgender competitors. Read more.

Corporations have lost their soul In corporate America, virtue signaling has morphed into a cult-like ritual. But in their zeal to prove loyalty, corporations now take more pride in hiring far-right MAGA celebrities than they ever did in hiring minorities under DEI policies. Only that explains Andreessen Horowitz hiring Daniel Penny. It is one of… Read more.

Rwanda-backed rebels rampaging through DRC raising spectacle of another genocide

Rwanda enabling Congo atrocities The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is engulfed in violence — again. The Rwanda-backed M23 rebel group is seizing territory and forcing thousands to flee. It has taken control of Goma, a critical city in eastern DRC, while reports of mass killings and other atrocities surface. The international community is… Read more.

Trump taking on Canada, Mexico, and China in trade wars

Trump has trademarked creating conflicts to solve Trump wasted no time after returning to the White House, reigniting his favorite diplomatic farce: manufacturing crises just to claim credit for solving them. Barely two weeks in, he threatened trade wars with Canada and Mexico, the likes of which the world had never seen. His demand? That… Read more.

Beyonce wins Album of the Year but Kendrick won the night

It only took five tries, public shaming by Jay-Z, and a strategically timed tour announcement to upstage the Grammys. But Beyoncé has finally done it. After years of snubs — losing to Adele, Taylor Swift, and even Beck — the Recording Academy has finally given its biggest award to the woman who, by all logic,… Read more.

Retribution is mine, says the president Donald Trump is on an imperial rampage. The American people gave him a get-out-of-jail-free card when they elected him president. But, above all, Trump ran on a promise of retribution. So promises made, promises being kept. His administration is compiling a hit list of career FBI agents — especially… Read more.

On Wednesday evening, an American Airlines regional jet collided midair with a US Army Black Hawk helicopter near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The jet carried 64 people; the helicopter had three soldiers on board. Both aircraft plunged into the Potomac River. Rescue teams have recovered 28 bodies from the icy waters.
